Homemade Face Masks

Here are three simple face masks that will make your skin glow.

Honey, Cinnamon, & Lemon Mask

Great for all skin types and benefits include clearing up acne and facial scars.

What You Will Need:

  • 2 tablespoons of pure honey
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 wedge of fresh lemon

Directions:

Warm the honey in the microwave for a few seconds. Combine cinnamon and lemon juice into a small bowl with honey. Gently massage the mixture onto your face and leave on for about 15 – 20 minutes. Then rinse off.

Benefits:

Cinnamon will reduce inflammation and redness. The lemon acid will help exfoliate your skin and helps reduce dark spots.

Banana, Raw Oats, and Honey

Great for normal to dry skin and gently exfoliates the skin.

What You Will Need:

  • 2 tablespoons Oats
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1/2 of a banana

Directions:

Mash the ripe banana then add oats and honey and mixed together. Leave on for 15-20 minutes then rise off and use a warm wet washcloth.

Benefits:

Oats offer a gentle exfoliate and are known for soothing the skin. Bananas are rich in vitamins A, B and E and also great for anti-aging ingredients.

Avocado-Face-Mask

Avocado & White Eggs

Great for oily/acne skin prone to combination skin. Brightens and hydrate the skin.

What You Will Need:

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice

Directions:

Mash the whole avocado with the egg white then add in the lemon juice. Make sure you turn the mixture in a paste.  Clean your face before apply the face mask onto entire face except eyes and mouth area. Leave on 20 minutes then rise.

Benefits:

Avocado nourishes, hydrates, preserves, and moisturizes the skin. Prevents premature aging by fighting off free radicals. Also helps heal acne and inflammatory skin conditions. Egg withes nourish and hydrates the skin. Tightens skin and shrinks large pores by lifting up sagging cheeks.
